About us
At Fitgate, we bring together expertise, passion, and a deep commitment to holistic fitness and wellness for all ages and abilities. Fitgate is a unique space for transformation and growth. The Fitgate team consists of Pouya Nasraei, Niki Kashani and Anna Longmuir.

Pouya is  a former world kickboxing champion and seasoned martial arts instructor. He holds a master’s degree in Sports Physiology and has extensive experience in sports injuries, rehabilitation, sports nutrition, and sports massage therapy. With a history of training elite athletes, Olympians, and law enforcement, he combines technical precision with practical experience. He also is a Professor of Capoeira.

Alongside him, Niki Kashani, a dance and dance fitness instructor, as well as a personal trainer brings a dynamic approach to movement and expression, making every session engaging, challenging, and inspiring. Together, we are building Fitgate as a community hub in Highgate, where fitness, dance, martial arts, and rehabilitation unite, empowering individuals to achieve their fullest potential in a supportive, expert-led environment.

Anna has trained and qualified in Mat Pilates with Balanced Body and Reformer Pilates with Polestar.    She has a genuine enthusiasm for sharing the benefits of Pilates with her clients and seeing them progress.  Her teaching is fresh and varied often using small equipment such as weights, therabands and magic circles to maximise results.

Niki Kashani

Zumba Fitness and Latin Dance instructor, Personal Trainer

Niki Kashani is a dynamic Zumba and Dance Fitness instructor, personal trainer, and expert in salsa, reggaeton, and bachata lady styling. With an infectious energy and a passion for dance, Niki creates classes that are accessible to everyone—from beginners to seasoned dancers. Her sessions are designed to boost fitness, uplift spirits, and are filled with fun and smiles. Niki’s teaching style combines high-energy moves with a welcoming atmosphere, making each class a joyful and empowering experience for all who join.

Pouya Nasraei

Sports Physiologist, Sports Therapist, Fitness and Martial Arts Instructor

Pouya Nasraei is a dedicated Sports Physiologist, Fitness and Martial Arts Instructor, Rehabilitator, and Sports Massage Therapist. A former world champion in kickboxing, Pouya has an extensive background in exercise science, sports injuries, advanced human physiology, and sports psychology. He has trained professional athletes and Olympians, preparing them for elite, world-class competitions. His approach combines deep scientific knowledge with practical experience, helping clients achieve peak performance, recover from injuries, and build resilience. Whether in fitness training, rehabilitation, or martial arts, Pouya’s expertise and passion create a transformative experience for each individual.

Anna Longmuir

Pilates and Reformer Instructor

Anna is an experienced pilates instructor. Her classes are challenging but accessible. She has an eye for detail but ensures the class flows and is fun. Anna has a keen interest in the benefits exercise has for women in menopause and those actively ageing. Her classes have evolved over the years to incorporate weights and more resistance training to ensure her clients, both young and the young at heart, truly see results. Her Pilates Sculpt classes reflect this and are a unique blend of classical pilates and functional strength training. The pilates principles of breath, concentration, control, centre, precision and flow are built into every class.

Sarah Sutcliffe
     

I have suffered from chronic back pain for a long time, and have also had back surgery so faced real challenges - both physical and psychological - to getting strong and fit. Pouya has worked with me carefully and sensitively to build my strength and my confidence. He has the most amazing range of skills - he is a physio and a brilliant massage therapist as well as being an incredibly skilled personal trainer, which is a magical combination. I have felt so safe to work with him through my recovery and am now past my injury and feeling stronger and fitter than I have done for 15 years! He listens carefully to how I feel and structures the exercise to work exactly for me. He encourages and challenges me in the perfect combination. I literally can’t recommend him highly enough.

Anna is a fantastic Pilates instructor. The classes are always varied, using different props, and have the right blend of strengthening and stretching to make you feel energised and limber. Instructions are always clear, and prompts and reminders are given which is really important to help you do the exercises in the right way. Anna is also mindful of injuries or problem areas you might have, giving advice and variations for different levels of ability. I always leave the classes feeling revitalised and an inch taller!
